Linking Snapchat Ads as a source
You can sync data from Snapchat Ads by configuring it as a source in PostHog. The supported data that can be synced includes:
- Campaigns: Campaign metadata and settings
- Ad Squads: Ad squad (ad group) metadata
- Ads: Individual ad metadata
- Campaign Stats Daily: Daily campaign performance metrics
- Ad Squad Stats Daily: Daily ad squad performance metrics
- Ad Stats Daily: Daily ad performance metrics
Additional reports will be added based on user feedback via our in-app support form.
Requirements
- A Snapchat Ads account with permission to access data from accounts you want to sync.
- Your Ad Account ID from the Snapchat Ads Manager – you can find it in the URL when viewing your ad account, e.g.,
https://ads.snapchat.com/setup/adaccount/ACCOUNT_ID_HERE
Configuring PostHog
Connect PostHog to your Snapchat Ads account. The Snapchat account must have permission to access data.
- In PostHog, go to the Data pipelines tab.
- Open the + New drop-down menu in the top-right and select Source.
- Find Snapchat Ads in the sources list and click Link.
- Enter the Ad Account ID of the Snapchat Ads account you want to sync.
- Select an existing Snapchat Ads account, or create a new integration to authenticate via OAuth.
- (Optional) Add a prefix for the table name.
